What is Microneedling with PRP?
Microneedling is a noninvasive procedure that uses small needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries encourage collagen and elastin production. This is what renews the skin and reduces the signs of aging. A specialized tool with tiny needles will be gently rolled over your skin during the procedure. The Platelet-Rich Plasma is applied to the area after microneedling is performed.
Utilizing the body’s natural healing potential, Platelet-Rich Plasma is obtained from the patient’s own blood. Before the procedure is started, a small blood sample is drawn from the patient. This sample is then spun in a specialized device called a centrifuge. This spinning causes a separation of the red blood cells and plasma. The plasma is then drawn into syringes and applied to the freshly micro-needled skin. The growth factors within the plasma help heal and rejuvenate the skin, eliminating wrinkles, scarring, and fine lines.
When Do I See Results?
